Your partner snores badly, will you choose to sleep elsewhere?

I have difficulty getting any type of sleep or rest
with a chronic snorer, in my lifetime I have had
a partner who would snore enough to rattle the
windows, so to say. It was sleep apnea but it was
a terrible disruption to my sleep none the less.
Many couples I know have to deal with this...

Hubby snores loudly. It runs in his family. His brother usually sleeps on the couch when we have family get-togethers and it sounds like he is imploding. So we sleep in separate rooms. If we travel, I wear a head wrap that holds my noise canceling AirPods. I just put them on White Noise and we're fine. I wouldn't go to that trouble at home. When the family visited, I slept in the master bedroom and hubs slept on an air mattress in the master bedroom walk-in closet. :ROFLMAO:

Be it your other half, boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, whatever the
relationship might be, if you are sleeping with a chronic snorer, it's time
to either, sleep on the sofa, or sleep in another room, or not sleep at all.

What do you think?

The husband was a sonic snorer. Im a sound sleeper so If I got to sleep before him I was fine.
Later we found out that like a lot of other snorers he had sleep apnea and he got a cpap machine.
Those things come with their own issues.

master bedroom walk-in closet on an air mattress, that gives me a good chuckle 😅

Whatever works, is the best route to go ;)

The cpap machines can be very helpful with many. And I agree those things come
with their own issues. ;)

Took years but the comfort of both my wife & me to get a good night sleep the decision to sleep in separate rooms has benefitted us both. Affection kissing & a firm hug before going to sleep & brushing our teeth upon rising in the morning for that good morning kiss continues. The only change is we both are well rested.

Was it a typo?
Sonic snorer and sound sleeper, I thought you were engaging in a bit of word play. Maybe you meant chronic?

I see where you went there. I totally missed that. :D
This used to be me. After the husband became sick I got used to him calling for me in the night cause he needed help.
So Im not as "sound" as I used to be. :D

AI Overview

A sound sleeper is a person who sleeps very deeply and is not easily awakened by noise or movement. They often sleep through disturbances like storms or alarms, representing a state of, or tendency toward, uninterrupted, heavy, and peaceful rest.

I slept in a separate bedroom. No way I could get a decent nights sleep ...then get up and go to work if I slept w/him. His mother was even worse! He was too macho to do anything about it at first, but he finally had some surgery that was supposed to help w/that ...but it didn't.
