We watched a documentary about Johnny Cash this evening on PrimeVideo. It was pretty good!

This made your point about the performances.I just finished watching the The Way We Were ....1973
Old romantic classic with Robert Redford and Barbara Streisand ...both great in their parts
Some politics in the story but the relationship between the two is wonderful and sad and of course we got the lovely song with Barbara from it.
I remember that movie well and consider it to be among Duvall's most impressive performances. We're continuing with our Robert Duvall film festival. This evening, we watched The Apostle from 1997 staring, written by, and directed by Robert Duvall. Also featuring Farrah Fawcett, June Carter Cash, and Billy Bob Thornton.
I got the DVD from the library, but it's also on PrimeVideo for $4.00.
The movie is highly regarded for its authentic portrayal of Southern Pentecostalism and its exploration of how genuine faith can coexist within a sinful, "human" man. Critics often highlight Robert Duvall's performance, which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
Yes, I agree. In fact Crowe's performance is the chief reason to see the film. He was so good at imparting mood and thought that he almost could have done his part without dialogue.Nuremberg. Well written and acted. Russell Crowe as Hermann Göring is great.
