I like being alone and peaceful

I didn't choose to be alone. It happened over time due to the loss of people I once knew. I'm okay with it much of the time, but I still need social contacts now and then. I don't want a group here, and I don't want to prepare dinners for guests, and so on - but to share a meal out somewhere now and then is something I still enjoy.

Me too. I love my peeps and my time with them, to be sure. But alone time is also precious.

Alone at the beach, sitting in the waves is really nice. ;)
Yeah, I love to go to the beach and sit in the waves, but I got a new black-and-white swimsuit and every time I try to come to shore, they keep pushing me back out and calling SeaWorld to tell them that Shamu is trying to beach himself.....

I don't mind being alone for the most part, but I also have to have some social interaction whether by phone or in person. I also have to have something to look forward to whether it be church, volunteer work, a day trip, etc... Unfortunately and I know I'm not an exception to the rule, most of my communication comes via the internet and that's so impersonal. There are a lot of lonely people due to spending more time on the internet rather than interacting in person.
