Not familiar with that town. Most of NM is senior friendly. While there's a state taxes the credits i get as a senior have iven me a refund every year.

Had to be brief, 420 character limit for posts on our profile pages. I researched population, median income, cost of homes, businesses here before visiting. While less than 1,000 residents being on a main state hwy we have more than most small towns.

Had relatives retire there. Went out a couple of times to visit. Was an adorable little town. It is a higher elevation so not great for someone with lung/breathing problems.

Also at that time, 2009, there was not extensive medical care. If you have health issues be sure to check for what is available now. It was really a growing area at that time,
