10 Different Types of Laughter

I have a problem with really inappropriate laughter, laughing when I shouldn't be.

If somebody falls, but doesn't get hurt bad, I laugh, I can't help it. I also laugh if something happens to me, I fell, a really bad fall a few years ago.

I was rolling around on the ground and the mister offered to help me up, but I told him No I had to lay on the trail for a while, actually an asphalt trail, so it really hurt when I fell. My shoulder was screwed up for over 6 months. Anyway I was laughing so hard I couldn't help it. And this trail is right next to the highway through our town and people are always telling me they "saw me on the trail". Well boy if they were looking that afternoon, they really did see me "on the trail."

That inappropriate one can get ya into all sorts of trouble. I have mastered suppressing it somewhat but it's there in spades.

Dad couldn't control it though. He was in the dog house for weeks over an incident that I only heard about from when they were first married.

How I envision it from the 'story':

They were doing the romantic handholding thing walking along a jetty when a fisherman a few yards ahead of them misjudged his footing while casting a bait.
His fishing rod went skywards and he went arse foremost into the sea.
My father was rendered helpless by laughter.
My Mother was outraged that her new hero wasn't diving in to save the drowning fisherman.
An obvious communication breakdown that boded ill for their future.
By the time Dad was recovering the fisherman was climbing a nearby access ladder and didn't need rescuing, but that didn't mitigate Mum's disgust.

I'm afraid I was with Dad on that one, face it, it must have been pretty damned funny. Right? I'da laughed too.

Wish now I'd asked if the fisherman did. Probably.
