There are those on this site who are in crisis, and we often don't know what to say. Sometimes we think we are being helpful, but how we say what we say can make the person feel more alone. I will innumerate the 10 tips, but since I did not write this article I will provide the link below them, so you can read the explanation of each tip.

1. Get oriented.
2. Err on the side of caution.
3. Keep the spotlight where it belongs.
4. Don’t steal the spotlight.
5. Keep it simple and honest.
6. Talk less; listen more.
7. Prepare to be dumped on.
