1937 vs. 2017

[Pappy]

Dashboard of my 37 Buick, first car, versus dashboard of my present car. Mostly manuel vs. digital. Knobs where eliminated because folks were smashing their faces in them. No seatbelts back then and turn signals were an option. To drive the Buick, both hands were busy shifting, setting the choke and throttle and much more. Present car, put in gear and go.
But heck, I was only 16 and was on top of the world with my shiny old Buick.

Yup Those were the good old days Pappy. There was a big war going on but we were too young to participate.

But the friggin' thing lasted long enough that we HAD to get involved. Wouldn't happen like that in today's world.

I love going to Vintage car shows... lots of auto-mobiles which are shown here are American, they were Big and brash and beautiful to look at.....

They em were great if you smoked like I did for flicking ashes out the window.
