1974 movie "The Towering Inferno"

Typical 70's era supermovie. Poorly scripted and unrealistic scenes. I believe Steve McQueens 5 minute monologe in the last scene probably saved the reel from getting tossed into the waste bucket.

 

I saw it when released and actually watched a little of it over this past weekend. One thing that struck me was I forgot how long the intro sequences that showed all the credits used to be for a lot of the movies released at that time.
