I loved Ava Gardner. I thought she was the most beautiful actress of her time. I loved her in One Touch of Venus, which I've watched a few times. Of course it's a completely different kind of film than Seven Days.

Re the OP: I love Forrest Whitaker and Rod Serling (writer of Seven Days in May), but I have never seen either film.
