2 years ago I needed a new Garden Hose

The local Bunnings hardware store had plenty.
90% of them Made in China
As youse all know, Bretrick tries his best to avoid, Made in China.
There were Australian owned companies selling garden hoses, but they were Made in China
I bought a Garden Hose that was not Made in China
It was Made in Italy.
Twice the price of the Garden Hose Made in China but Bretrick says, buy stuff not Made in China

Fella told me Italian hoses also hum opera when the water runs but the neighbors might ask ya to turn it down

When I water the strip of garden, the hose is across the driveway. 30 units, cars coming and going regularly, driving over the hose.
Over the 2 years, the hose would have been driven over well in excess of 300 times. Hose is still like new. Made in China? Would be destroyed after a few run overs.

Oh is that it? I had these green ones that get bigger, but they always had holes in em. Stopped using them altogether.

I don't mean to be a thorn in your side, but I've never paid any attention to where the garden hoses were made that I've had over the years, but I'm sure they were cheapos. I might use a hose only 3 times a year.

Good for you, Bretrick. I’m very conscious of where things are made. Unfortunately it’s often not easy to get what I want.

I havent either Macktexas - and my hose gets used regularly, - couple of times a week.

But it has not ever been run over by a car so not sure how it would handle that. For me that is a non issue.

It is hard to find Australian made products. They are out there but the local stores are reluctant to stock them because of the higher cost.

I bought commercial grade hoses, the type used on construction sites. One is over 30 years old, the other 2 around 15-20.
