2020 Honda Super Cub C125 Rekindles Honda's Origins

ts engine is almost nothing, a single cylinder that's air cooled, fuel injected, and displaces only 125 cubic centimeters. That's less than eight cubic inches. If it makes 10 horsepower, it would be overachieving. But it doesn't have that much motorcycle to push around since, as Honda says, the 2020 Super Cub C125 weighs only 240 pounds. This is the first production vehicle I've evaluated for C/D that weighs less than I do.

I saw one of the first original Honda cars on display at a dealership, and it was so small that it looked like a "clown car." The salesman said they avoid summer participation in parades with it as the added temps might stress out the small, motorcycle-type engine...

My sister and BIL had one of the 1971 Honda 600 coupes. TINY! But it got 50 mpg, especially if the driver could find a nice big semi to follow, LOL.

Believe me, when the second oil shock hit in 1979 and gas in CA went up to the insane price of $1.79/gall for premium, there were lines at the gas stations - and everybody was envious of the few people who were driving small, gas-thrifty cars!

Surprisingly, those 600s drive rather well:
