249th U.S. Army birthday.

The Coldstream Guards of the British Army were first stood up in 1650, and they have served the Crown for 374 years as of 2024. The Coldstream Guards carry 113 Battle Honours on their Five Colours, and 13 Coldstream Guards have been awarded the Victoria Cross in their history. It is the longest serving unit in the Royal Army.
