add some finely minced garlic and fennel seed to that ground pork and you've got Italian sausage for 2.29 lb.

Have a pound package thawing right now. Planning on making wontons for steamed dumplings tomorrow.

Ground pork is very versatile.

or season it with Bell's poultry seasoning, fennel seeds, and hot pepper flakes to make a country-style sausage.

I use approx. 1/2 pound of fried sausage crumbles to season a bag of shredded cabbage or frozen riced cauliflower for an easy inexpensive one-pot meal. Sometimes I season it to create a low carb version of a Thanksgiving stuffing without the bread and other times I season it to create a low carb version of fried rice without the rice.

I love cabbage rolls! I think it has something to do with my Polish heritage, E Mail me a couple of them please, the next time you make ‘em! 🤓

When I cooked it was so easy to combine with ground chuck to make hot tamales. We usually made a batch of pork ones, beef ones, and then a combo of both. We only made them at Christmas but I would manage to freeze some of each for later eating.

love, love, love tamales, but they're absolutely labor-intensive to make.

used to have a Mexican aubelita next door that make 'em as a side-hustle. People would line up down the block and I'd buy 'em by the dozens (as in more than one dozen at a time) and freeze them.

Now I'm salivating, remembering just how good they were...
