I don’t belong to an organized religion, although I’m very fond of a particular church here & its music program. But sometimes spiritual things just connect by themselves, y’know?
I go often to a Walmart “neighborhood “ market where I’ve found the staff to be very kind and helpful. I checked out with someone I recognized to be new, who was being very nice & careful, so I asked him & he said he was. No line for once so had a chance to chat. I told him how nice everyone was, and there were good examples all around.
(I’ve kind of made it my mission during the Pan to express appreciation to folks who are otherwise ignored or treated as part of the furniture.) And told him he was off to a good start.
And he smiled and said, “It’s all written down.” And I smiled and pointed upward, and he nodded.
