The largest cash reward ever offered in a Canadian murder case is 35 Million Dollars, up from the original 10 million offer. The Sherman family of Toronto is offering this huge amount of money to anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of who ever killed a husband and wife in their luxury Toronto mansion, five years ago. Barry and Honey Sherman were strangled to death side by side in the indoor swimming pool of their Toronto home in 2017. Despite an intensive investigation by the Toronto Police homicide unit there has been no suspect information developed . One of the sons of the murdered couple has now added 25 million to the original 10 million dollar reward. Mister Sherman was the owner of a major Canadian drug making corporation. He was involved in a number of civil suits about the ownership of drug patents at the time of his murder.

This case has been a front page story since the day the bodies were found. My personal opinion..........A professional hit, and perhaps the killer was later killed, to shut him up . This kind of reward money, MAY get somebody to talk, or maybe not. JimB.

I don't know the story apart from what you've written here, but I would think that if $10, million didn't get someone to talk, then $35 million won't either... it does sound like a Pro hit .. and there is likely never to be any talkers or takers...

I remember seeing the original murder in the headlines and I thought they had a suspect or was serial killer. Any similar crimes since?

I can’t read It. Are the police still calling it murder/suicide like they did originally.

All they have been able to bring forward was a VERY blurry video shot of some one ( not even sure if it was a man or a woman ) walking in the area in a snowstorm. The video came from a camera on the front of another house a few blocks away. NO similar crimes since. JimB.

NO the theory now is a contract killing. The autopsy results ruled out the theory that Barry killed his Wife and then himself. Forensics failed to find any trace evidence that would link to any other person. Dead ends. JimB.

Locally, the owner of a well known restaurant and bar disappeared with a tooth and some blood splatter left behind. He was a chronic gambler and the theory was he could not pay his debts and he payed the ultimate price. No trace of him was ever found.
