Sgt. Spencer Murray of the Community Animal Response Team responded to the family’s call. After letting the owl fly around and tire himself out, Murray was able to grab the bird with a net and release him safely outside.
Owl Swoops Down Arlington Chimney To Act As Christmas Tree Topper

I took a picture of one near my home last summer. Very big and cool guy.
Our hungry squirrels are devouring our pumpkins, out in the fire pit in back yard.
3/4ths. of 4 pumpkins are devoured. I wonder if they crap orange scat?

Well you could follow them around.....🧐

Nevermind, I'm quite certain your guess is correct!😁😄😊

Was he hungry or just cold? Wanted to make new friends for the winter! ... :ROFLMAO: ...
Weather man says January can be a -0 - record setter !

Well, I don't see why he'd say no. ;)

Perhaps you could choose between the owl and your hubby, then.
:giggle:😁😄😊☺️
We had an injured male Great Horned owl one year that I found behind the barn in the morning after a storm. He didn't fly off when he saw us, but was hopping around. As soon as we got home that afternoon he was still there. We tossed a light blanket over him & hubby trapped his legs & put him in a dog crate. He just looked at me, but gave hubby the stink eye. We took him to a raptor center about an hour from the house who take care of injured birds.

They took our name/number & the vet kept us updated weekly on him. She also said if he can be released, we would get him back to take home. After 3 weeks, we were told to pick up our owl. We talked to the vet when we went to get him & it's a pretty neat place on how they take care of these birds. She said he was banded & they like to release them back to where they came from.

We released him behind the barn & he flew back into our woods. He kept coming back for quite a few years & perched on the woods edge by the barn. Once in a while he showed up with a female who was with him. I figure the owls in the woods now are his kids/grands/great-grands.

So he was the closet owl pet I've had.

Very wonderful and heart warming nature story.

Thank you for writing it, here for us!
@Lilac

And I now have decided that your hubby is a keeper. :LOL::ROFLMAO::love:
