wonderful - after living in HK in the late 70's I returned in the 90's and was taken then in to China by a friend to visit his ancestral village which was still standing - we stayed in his now vacant home but with family photos still on the wall of course - I look at bygone China now - it had a dusty forlorn feel about it and I can understand it being lost to progress?
