A Darwin Awards nomination....

I wonder why that happened? its usually because the weight is behind the wheels of the trailer and it terrifies me when I see people reverse a car onto a trailer but that car was the right way round. Very odd.

Unless the engine had been removed?

Talking of Darwin - the 2025 Solar challenge sets off from Darwin to race to Adelaide today. Cars powered entirely by the sun race the 3500 km from the NT to the SA capital. The speeds they reach is phenomenal (the Stuart Highway has no speed limit in the NT). Usually takes about 3 days.

I've seen so many accidents and others where they either didn't chain down the vehicle or the material they're hauling or they took off so fast that it just slid out of the trailer.

If that driver had simply slowed down by letting the normal engine work and not hitting the brakes he probably would have done better.

This ..was IN Adelaide a few days ago ..

https://www.police.sa.gov.au/sa-pol...ief-arrested-after-early-morning-cbd-break-in

A man has charged over an alleged break-in into an iconic Adelaide store in the CBD after an iPad he allegedly stole was tracked ~ he was carrying the stolen iPad :cautious:

The 43-year-old man from Morphett Vale has been charged with serious criminal trespass and unlawful possession after police found him in possession of an iPad he had allegedly taken from a retail store

about 4 am …. on Tuesday, an alarm alerted police to the store

On arrival, officers found the clothing store had been raided, with the front doors left open and damaged.

CCTV footage showed a man rushing to grab an iPad and cash.

The owner tracked down the iPad …..a few hundred metres away from the shop and alerted the police

Dah ….
most are aware iPad / phones ….have a “Find my device setting “

The iPad was returned to the shop owner.

I see so many stupid things here in Dallas traffic these days I just throw up my hands. I saw a driver put on his left turn signal, sway back and forth between two lanes and ultimately turn right with the left turn signal still on. I saw another driver make a left turn after the light had been solidly red for a few seconds. Since Dallas got rid of the red light cameras it is a common occurrence. This is in the past two days.

It used to irritate the heck out of me. Now I just expect it. I could give out so many Darwin Awards every day.
