Working every weekend on the MN shift for over 15 years, I always had to work an extra hour during the Fall time change. Of course, in the spring, I worked an hour less. Being the only male nurse on the unit, it was just understood that it was my duty to change the clocks. There was clock in the nurses station, med room, pantry, dayroom, conference room, and breakroom.
At home, we have clocks all over the place, in every room, on the microwave, oven, in the garage, etc. We have so many clocks that I called off on daylight savings time one time because of being exhausted with all the extra duties at work and in order to have the time to reset all the clocks at home.
They were very understanding and empathetic.
