A few questions from a newbie

Hope everyone is having a great day. Question 1: How do I add a signature to my profile? Question 2: Is there a way to send a message to a member privately? There is a username on here that is somewhat unique and has a special meaning to me but I did not necessarily want my message to be out in the open forum. Thanks for any help.
 
1. Open your username in the upper right corner of the board … a drop down menu shows Signature box on the right side. Click that and add your content.

2. Private message someone with envelope located next to your username up in the right corner also …. when you get a reply, it will light up
In there, click on start conversation, and enter their username … it will need a @ < symbol in front of their username to get it started.

As a newbie you cannot send private messages to anyone until you have been a member for a certain length of time, or have made a certain amount of posts !

Thanks. I don't see the signature option in mine but it may be because I am new here.

Thanks, I don't have that "signature" option but I am guessing maybe since I am new? I included a screenshot of my options.

Thanks for the screenshot. When I first beccame a member (last November, I believe) only my first post was delayed and I was notified there would be a delay. Some hours later, it posted. Every post after that went right through without delay.

I didn't try to start any conversations (private messages) when I was a new member, and I did not know there was also a delay with setting up a signature.
