Mimi and Dona is a well made documentary about Mimi, a woman in her 90s who has been the primary caregiver for her 62 year old intellectually disabled daughter. The film was made by Dona's niece, about the struggles Mimi is having with the inevitable fact that Dona will need to be placed somewhere as she (Mimi) is no longer able to care for her. Intellectually, I think Mimi realizes it must be done, but emotionally she is not ready for this. The doc. is on Amazon Prime. If anyone here is facing something similar ..even the placing of an aging parent, it handles everything well.
