A local radio station now playing Xmas music 24/7

Yesterday morning, a local radio station here in Buffalo, NY switched its format for the next 2 months by playing Christmas music 24/7- Seriously! I can understand if they start playing the music day after Thanksgiving This is way too early in my opinion
What are your thoughts ? Sue

Thinking back to all of the reports over the past few years of all of the snow that Buffalo seems to be getting, maybe some people in your area get in the Christmas spirit earlier than the rest of us.

I have a Christian music playlist consisting of hymns with about 1/5 being Christmas carols. So I listen to Christmas music year round as I shuffle the playlist. Love the Christian Christmas carols, so I don’t mind.

But listening to Frosty the Snowman and Alvin and the Chipmunks right now til Christmas? No thanks.

Seems great for people who really love Christmas music and easy to avoid for those who don’t want to hear it yet.

We all know that Xmas is a very religious time of the year. This is when retailers pray that they get enough Xmas sales to earn a profit and stay in business. Sorry, but without the massive gift giving at Xmas, Christmas would be another Easter. Retailers want to squeeze every drop of sales from Xmas- that's why they have Xmas in July sales, and Xmas trees go up in stores in September. And 24 hour Xmas music on Nov 1.
