Hi Don and a big welcome to Senior Forums. You will like it here. Helps keep the mind sharp. My Daughter and her husband are going to fly up to Maine, rent a car and drive back down the East Coast to home in Southeast Georgia sometime in April. They have invited me, but I haven't decided yet. What are some "must see" places in Maine?

And we are leaving Maine for the month of April. Driving to Florida for the month
Maine has so many must sees.
Within 50 miles from the Portland Airport, LLBean, Portland Headlight and Fort Williams, Nuble Light
in York. If you have a day, just hanging around the Old Port and even taking a ferry ride on the Casco
Bay Line would be fun.
Further from Portland would be Bar Harbor and Cadillac Mountain and even further would be Moosehead Lake and
Mt Katahdin
enjoy your trip and if you would like more details, let me know.

Camped in Steep Falls, Maine campground many years ago. Went up Cadillac mtn. Welcome from Pappy in Florida.:welcome:
Thanks. Cadillac is beautiful country. we get up there once or twice a year.
We are heading to Florida for the month of April
Going to to Punta Gorda this time
Thanks

Wondered if you were anywhere near when my brother has a house, but it isn't. Looks like a gorgeous area with lovely beaches!

Hi Don, im a newbe here too ,,we just retired and lived in Maine for 24yrs.. but now have retired to the most western part of Tn...I'm married to a Maineac from Biddeford..LOL He still has family there.. Looks like Maine has broken some winter snow and cold records this past winter.. I'm so thankful we moved. Will be 2 yrs this June.. I do miss the lobster , and other fresh seafood !..... We lived in Augusta, then Warren , then moved to Rockland and then to Port Clyde. There is no doubt that Maine is a beautiful coastal state..! A vacationers paradise for sure,,,
Tn. is a beautiful state too and provides affordable living to retirees.... We love it here... Hope you enjoyed your Fla. vacation..

Hello all. Sounds like this should be a fun group of adventurous seniors.
