Just wondering wot is going on ?? - never happened ever before but now as I use any one page in the pc - it automatically jumps about selecting all sorts of other pages on my pc and overlaying them - I then have to cancel these intruders and sometimes my original page disappears also - wot on earth is happening??

can you open another browser and use that one instead?
not sure which one you are on but go to www . yahoo. com or go to www. google. com (no spaces) and search for your pages there.
My computer uses Edge and it's easy to use.

My laptop uses Edge but, to me, Chrome is much better.

Did you get everything back to working okay? I thought maybe the keyboard needed cleaning (dust or crumbs lodged somewhere between keys) or maybe new batteries were needed if you have a battery operated mouse.

well mouse and keyboard are brand new and fine by me - feels more internal or rather external in the realm of the internet - I've learned to manipulate it and live with it so I can still function as now ; but it's mildly annoying and then as now it doesn't do it for a while - it is not life threatening!!! thanks for asking there are a couple of technical nerds on board here but not seen them recently?

I wish I knew what caused this, because it could happen to any of us, but I'm not able to find a straightforward explanation. I've attached a couple of links that offer possibilities but that's not to say they're helpful for you. Sorry. Yes, there are some in the forum who seem to have some tech experience. Maybe one of them will notice these posts and offer some input.

First go though the settings of your browser and make sure you have not ticked the option to group tabs and open by default.
I found group tabbing to much trouble.
Clear your history and cache.

I’ve had a similar experience where even a light desk tap would cause my screen or USB devices to flicker. For me, it turned out to be a loose connection between the motherboard and case or a failing PSU. Grounding issues can also create strange sensitivity. Worth checking internal connections and maybe trying it on a different power strip.
