A new SPAM call I got..from _"Spectrum"

I was just leaving my house today, and got a call that the CID classified as SPAM RISK. I listened to the message and recorded caller said they were from Spectrum (internet and phone) and my 50% discount was ending today. Yes, I know it was spam, but I double checked my bill to confirm there was no discount.
I contacted Spectrum via their chat, and they asked for the number for their abuse records...and confirmed they would never contact us by phone with discounts...would be just on bill.
With that issue I had about HULU a while back, I am not taking more chances

Spammers and scammers are getting bolder and bolder, and more and more clever. I know they hide their IP addresses to avoid getting caught, but I would guess there are hacker type geeks that could be hired by some government agency to track these scammers down. That is if there even is such a thing as an internet fraud prevention agency. But the government seems to be trying to avoid any oversight of the internet. They talk about it, but don't do much.
