A shocking revelation

Did you have any apple cider donuts in Vermont?
With a hunk of cheddar and a cup of coffee (maybe iced this time of year)???
Oh, now I'm craving!

The original "Tim Bits " were the punched out holes from the cake donuts. Somebody had the bright idea to use them, with various coatings on top. Tim Bits are now one of the best sellers at Tim Hortens coffee shops in Canada, a box of ten, or twenty is a standard thing to bring into work for the staff. Jimb.

Wasn't this a similar story for chicken wings? I think they were originally tossed until someone thought they would make a great treat on their own. I could be wrong, but it was something I heard once.

And I think popcorn was invented when there was a barn fire and all of the corn in the barn popped...giving the farmer that great idea...popcorn!

And I'm quite sure the frisbee was invented at a tire plant. Bored employees would toss the hubcaps back and forth to each other on their breaks.

I'd have to google all of this to confirm, but I think these are all true.

we have the same here... donut holes being sold on their own... at a higher price than the donuts themselves...

Beezer. I read somewhere the frisbee got its idea in a pie factory. The pie tins were the right shape and employees use them to toss around.

Sounds good, we may have to go to the diner up by the dam one morning for breakfast or lunch, I know we could get some there.
