I was told by the orthopedist that I have an extra tendon in my wrist. This occurs in some people. She said it comes in handy for grafting if another tendon is severed and can't be repaired.

A somewhat dark fact: when I signed for my husband's body to be "harvested" for organs, one of the things they took were the "long tendons" for grafting in other patients.
