I know it's not officially until Sunday...but I got in the spirit early. With my Mom long gone and two estranged girls, there were more than one Mother's Day that depressed me. But this year I got proactive. Just mailed a beautiful card to my daughter in law...her first official year as a Mami.
My daughter brought home a pretty flower from school...replanted and will probably bloom into the Fall.
Then to younger son I asked him to look up an Indian place that delivers. A nice korma and desserts yummm best gift he can give me. I know hubby can't shop too easily anymore so hey...I'm working again. I set aside for a Barnes and Noble gift card.
Fun fact for the readers out there. I keep a wish list on B and N.com...any book I see that looks of interest goes on the list. I'm up to almost one hundred titles. But what's neat is if you click on a book, they also have a list of used book sellers. You pay maybe $2 to $15 for a title plus a few bucks shipping.
If you aren't picky about a book being brand new it's a good deal. For fifty bucks I got maybe seven titles. From the fun-there used to be a rock magazine called Creem. I found a book that is the best of the magazine. Two dog books, oh and a serious one about a hubby with Parkinson's.
But yes, so far so good!
