I just happened to look out of the back window yesterday afternoon and saw a dove resting on the deck railing. It flew away seconds after I snapped the photo.

Come to my garden ...I have dozens visit every single day from dawn to dusk.... wood pigeons and collared doves galore.... They're ground feeders, so they stand under the hanging feeders where the sparrows, starlings and jays eat, and they spill the nuts and seeds onto the ground and the big birds hoover them up

My next door neighbors have feeders out which atract many birds and small mammals.

amazingly, even if I don't fill the feeders.. the Pigeons and collared doves still come.. the little birds seem to know not to come but the big birds come, and when it's hot they plonk themselves ( them and magpies).. into the bird bath & then chit in it.. dirty beggars..
