For most of North America, maybe you are used to them,
we don't get much snow here, what we had over the past
few days, was the first of a couple of years.

I never know if some of the predictions in YouTube videos
are true, or just made up, anyway I found the one below
and it has a strong warning of a serious white storm coming
all the way down through Canada and the United States as
the East Coast, some Western States seem to be missing it.

Whoever gets it, stay safe and keep some extra supplies handy.

Yes, they've been warning a big chunk of the midwest and eastern part of the country about a deep freeze over Christmas weekend.
Sometimes they occur, sometimes they don't.

I live on the light blue-darker blue line on the Gulf Coast, so will see.
 
No snow in my area. I'm in the valley. However when I went to feed the ferals this morning, for the first time the cup of water under the bushes was frozen over. Not real thick. The larger ceramic water container had a little ice around the edge. This is the first time this season there has been ice in the cat's water.

My brats here don't know how good they have it.
 
Well we've had it for over a week now... still got it tonight even tho' we've had some rain today it's still not thawed..

Here is a picture of a whiteout in Northeast Ohio where I used to live before moving to Southern Ohio. I still go back every few years to visit the house I lived in for 9 years, but I just get drawn to it, plus my parents are buried there so it’s a must visit, if for no other reason than to decorate their graves.

i'm in NJ... about half hour drive fro center city Philly. looks like potential for some "weather" thursday-friday. probably nothing major, but the weather guy seems to be whipping viewers into a frenzy anyway. enough time to get members of The French Toast club in a lather at the supermarket!
 
This is a picture of my niece who came to visit and thought it would be nice if “we” went for a walk in the snow. The camera roll says this picture was taken in 2016, but I don’t remember if we got nailed that year or not. The picture says we did. This looks somewhere between 24-36 inches.

Original forecast for my little corner of southeastern Vancouver Island was perhaps two inches of snow between now and

December 23rd. Up to eight inches expected to fall on 23rd. That has been downgraded to no more than two inches on

either date. Current temp is -5. Light dusting of snow on the ground. A good day for slow cooker baked beans and bacon. My grandmother’s baking powder biscuits. Join me if you are hungry.🤗

Snow has gone but we have a lot of rain and it's very windy outside. Temperature is now showing as 13'C so, almost bikini weather :D
 
To me, a perfect, "White Christmas" is 1 inch of snow that falls at 6:45, AM, Dec 25, and melts away by noon. Otherwise, snow is a pain. I live in the "higher elevations of the Poconos". Whenever there's a weather report, it'll say "only a slight dusting of snow, except for the higher elevations of the Poconos, who will get 6 inches". The other thing is when it first snows, it's beautiful, picturesque, pristine wilderness, but in a few days there's all kinds of animal tracks all over, on your deck, everywhere. It's like a critter interstate goes through your yard. And the huge piles snow melt in the day and freeze to ice at night. I'd never thought I'd say this but I'm thinking of becoming a snowbird. EEEW!!
