About getting rid of things

I have multiple items that I no longer have use for but I can't seem to throw them out. I'm not into selling these things because who knows what would happen if I listed them somewhere. I have also seen what some forum members have gone through when selling.

I don't know what I will do with these items. I can't set them out on the tree lawn because I live in an apartment and it's prohibited.

Any ideas?

It was very hard, but after Buffy died I started throwing out old college books, and books I haven't looked at in years. It is so difficult for me to throw out books, but I did it, and have many many more to throw out. I will do this.

Just dump it, no regrets!

You can donate books at many public libraries. The local Hospice here runs a thrift shop that I donate to. They are a non-profit.
We have sold furniture to second hand shops, and bought things too.
Our condo building has a table near the mail boxes and elevators where You can put useful things that you no longer need.

Books are also usually appreciated at hospitals, nursing homes and jails....

We have a Community Center building at our Senior complex where people can set up monthly 'garage sale' events if they wish. This is done on Saturdays.
They can reserve a table or two at no cost, and sell whatever .... usually a 6 hour timeframe is allowed for this.

There are at times, whole apartment furnishing sales (due to death or moving), and they will have an open house for a day or two.

My sister lives in a senior apartment complex and one day a month they have something like a swap meet in the lobby area. People bring down items they no longer want and everyone is able to pick out anything they want for free. It's a nice idea and it recycles items that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
Great idea 💡!
