I have been to Ford's theatre a # of times. Once we were allowed to go up the stairs to the Lincoln box. You could look inside, but not go inside, very humbling experience. In the basement museum is the suit Lincoln was wearing that night, the door that was ripped off the box entrance, some items found on Booth and the actual derringer he killed Lincoln with.
The R.B. Hayes museum in Freemont, Ohio, I've toured before, has the bedroom slippers Lincoln was wearing the day he died.
