What did you think of the film? I have a bias that modern 'remakes' usually depend on special effects, rather than solid dialog and character, to please modern audiences. I'm accustomed to English film which is all about dialog, character, and plot, but is often considered 'slow' by American audiences.

The movie has received mixed reviews but I enjoyed it.I do remember seeing the original in '75. Sue
