Actor James Caan - R.I.P.

James Caan passed away at age 82. He was in lots of movies, including Godfather.

In the past couple of years or so, I listened to him on a podcast. I can see that he would have been strong-willed to deal with. It was interesting. Possibly on Marc Maron.

Caan was very good at his craft. (tribute to an interview where Caan argued that acting was his job, not his craft)

He co -starred with Billy Dee Williams in 1981 TV movie' Brian's Song' true story of Chicago Bears running backs, Brian Piccolo, Gayle Sayres who were best friends on the team. Caan played Brian who sadly died of cancer age 26. Its an emotional,uplifting movie, every time I've seen it tears flow
James starred,made his directorial debut in 1980 film'Hide in Plain Sight' which was partially filmed in my hometown,Buffalo,NY. Its based on a true story a blue collar worker trying to find his ex wife who remarried,his kids have new names

One of, if not my favorite actor of all times.
I first saw him in "Cinderellla Liberty" in 1973 with Marsha Mason.....what a terrific romance drama.
