His best known TV roles were:
"James T.West" in CBS western,'The Wild,Wild West' '65-'70.He played an undercover agent for Pres.Grant.His partner/sidekick"Artemis Gordon"{late Ross Martin} was an expert of disguises and dialects
"Major Poppy Boyington' in NBC war drama,'Baa Baa Black Sheep' '76-'78. He played the real life WW II flying ace,show was set in South Pacific
He co-starred in mini series,'Centennial '78-'80

Baa Baa Black Sheep was one of my favorite shows. Wild Wild west wasn't bad either. Mr. Conrad will be missed.
 
I hadn't heard this until today. He actually had an amazing mountain house (more like a mountain complex) up in Bear Valley in California across the street from where my folks had a mountain house. My wife once saw him talking out of his sauna with a towel on when we were walking up the road below his house.
 
Sorry to hear of his passing. (But we're getting older. How did that happen?!)
