Katherine Helmond,comic actress who co-starred in 2 ABC sitcoms in the late 70's,80's has died of complications from Alzheimer's,she was 89
Her best known TV roles were:
'Jessica Tate',a satire on soap operas,'Soap' '77-'81. This was a funny show with a wonderful ensemble cast,Richard Mulligan,Billy Crystal,Robert Mandan,Robert Guilaume{he played'Benson,the butler} Catherine Damon.The story of 2 families,the rich "Tates', blue collared'Campbells. Her role was the 'scattered brain wife of 'Chester Tate' played by Mandan
"Mona Robinson' on ABC sitcom'Who's the Boss' 84-'92 costarring with Judith Light,Tony Danza.She played,Judith's mother-I never watched this show
