Adam went bonkers last night

My cat, Adam, jumped in the upstairs window looking over the backyard last night. He started making growling noises and throwing himself at the window. I hurried to look out, but didn't see anything except the table with my potted house plants on it that I had covered with a tablecloth because of the frost warning. Maybe he thought it was some strange new animal? It did kind of look like the back of a Shetland pony in the dim light.

Their senses are more finely tuned than ours are. My dog barks when other dogs are on our land. She will jump up from the couch and run to a window. I don't hear a thing, but she knows somehow they are there. One day she was looking out the window and barking. I told her " Hush up there isn't even anything out there." Then I saw she was looking downward, so I looked downward to see what she was looking at. It was a great big snake right next to my patio door.

Every once in awhile my Lab would just stare into the next room and not move a muscle. It scared the heck out of me. I should have realized if there really was someone in there she would have been under the bed.

our two small dogs certainly hear and see things we don't. Never take it lightly, they are trying to protect you.

Last night our two dogs were looking at, and barking at some kind of invisible intruders that were walking through our living room...

Interesting behavior for a cat I must say. Our dogs bark at invisible things all day sometimes. It's kind of cute with Callie. He'll be facing an empty window. His back hair will be on end and he'll be growling n' foaming the most horrible dog oaths to the wall...But if I stop and smooth his fur he smiles and looks at me like " Just taking care of business Mom".
