Aircraft hit by another plane on Seattle tarmac

this type incident has happened a lot this past year....someone
needs to watch the ground traffic radar a lot better....

@George1959
This is strictly my opinion but I believe that a few factors need to be taken in consideration like a great amount of air traffic, understaffed air traffic controllers and aging FAA systems.
Not too long ago I watched several YouTube videos showing the air traffic control tower at Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam). That is state of the art technology compared to ours. Unfortunately, we don't spend enough money to modernize our systems.

From what I’ve been reading we haven’t modernized our system and we don’t have enough air traffic controllers. What is really terrifying is that doge is going to be plugging into our system to improve it with AI and the person in charge is 19 years old. I have a flight in 16 days and may not go. I have been researching daily to see if this is happening.

Last May i had a flight into Chicago this was after 2 delays and plane switch.
When we landed the backup to even get to the gate was very long ...

The pilot came on and said matter of fact like .... "we have to wait our turn".......... "there is no shortcut or going around someone to get to gate. We are not driving a mini cooper here".
"this is not people trying to take cuts like in a parking lot .... i know some of you are frustrated but that is not helping it go faster."

It is not just one thing....
the air traffic control needs technical updates and more staff.....
some airports are simply overused and over scheduled. Seattle had another regional airport open up 50 miles north of Seattle . The first year the less congestion was notable in air traffic Then Seattle just added more flights so the help was short lived......they can claim the demand was still there... but some planes taking off are less then half full.

the pressure for on time arrivals / departures (by regulation) is pushing all people involved to try to go faster. People read those articles about on time airlines maybe even use that as reason to book one over the other but with so many other factors affecting on time this needs to not be given as much relevance as it was.

maybe was as consumers should give more grace ....
we do not act as badly as some do at airports if our uber / cab/ bus was in a traffic jam.
