I have 110 days of sobriety under my belt. I wonder if anyone would be interested in traveling this journey with me. I am going as a former therapist and teacher. I think it would be challenging as well as fun. Will you join me?

Congrats fedzu! Hard work but so worth it. I never had a problem with alcohol but my husband did. I remember many a night calling the local hospital to check, pacing the floor, staring at the clock.......so good for you in so many ways! Be strong and hang in there, because it gets easier.
 

Oh sweet for you to reply. I guess I am reaching out to those that may have an addiction like me. I accept the challenge and it may be the greatest victory of my life. Tell me if you have something on your mind.

I enjoy my occasional glass of wine... But congratulations on your sobriety. I am already following the journey of a loved one.... My son... who has 67 days today. It's been a long road and has taken several tries at rehab, but this is his first inpatient rehab so I am hopeful.. albeit cautiously hopeful
 
Fred, Welcome to the forum. I don't want to offend you,but risking that I have to tell you you are acting like a reformed smoker. We are all senior here and aware of the help available for alcohol problems. Most of us make decisions for ourselves on matters such as this. Why not just relax and join in our little community chat? Congratulations on you decision and sticking to it. BTW this is only MY opinion.
