I was calling what I thought was XFINITY and it said XFINITY but while I was waiting to be connected they put me through to an ad for a medic alert device. They said I qualified for free equipment, it sounded great... I didn’t write down the name because I was going in to work. I haven’t received anything as of yet and they are going to bill me in the 30th. Had anyone heard of this. It was not life line or life alert... dummy me!

If you did not give them your credit card info you will not be billed. If it makes you feel better call your credit card company and tell them to be on an alert for a possible charge and to cancel it.

I wouldn't worry, no credit card=no sale .I got one of those alert devices to wear around my neck. Get a cell phone. I got a flip phone, cheaper than the alert thing. You press a button , and some guy in Des Moines picks up, then he calls whatever, For god's sake, just dial 911, and talk to the person, who can truly help you. Why go through Des Moines (even though nice people live there, hey I know somebody from Des Moines is going to be upset). The thing is I fell out of bed and was on the floor. The alert thing never 'alerted". I was in the hospital and a nursing home for the next year and a half, but the alert device company kept sending me bills for a nonworking device.
