Always check your contractors credentials before hiring for a job for you!

A problem, though, is if you're renting and it's a landlord doing the hiring so you have no say about anything. You wouldn't believe the incompetent dopes that've done various jobs in here- often leaving big mistakes that I end up correcting.

Oh, I know Janice... I used to have a reno company on the side, and have fixed many of the problems I have shown here, and many many more... That's why I always tell people, check your contractor out... get pictures of work they have done, testimonials of their customers, and etc... Cuz I have met a lot of shady contractors who would do a job like any of the ones I have shown, and then scared the customer to get paid... Over the years I have done lots of free ones cuz I felt so bad for some seniors or women (and not being mean by saying that) who get ripped by shady contractors...

And NEVER pay for a job in full... Give 1/4 to get started, 1/4 halfway through... I would always tell my customers to keep the other 1/2 till I am done, to make sure YOU the customer are happy with the job...
