Amazon Prime streaming service

Does anyone have this and how do you like it? Is their content any good? Do they have movies and series or just their own stuff?

I've had Netflix for years, but I'm considering dumping it because there doesn't seem to be much on there worth watching anymore if you don't like movies about drug dealers or super heroes or ax murder.
 

Prime is ok, better if you buy a lot from Amazon to get free shipping.. Movies about the same or better than Netflix..Do you have Roku or Firestick??
 
I find it to be very similar to other streaming services and yes, it is a wide range of stuff from movies to old TV series, etc. My preference is Netflix. I recently tried a free trial of Hulu and was equally unimpressed. Speaking of free trials, I believe you can get a month of Prime as a free trial, so that might be a way for you to see how you like it.
 

We have it. The perk is that we do shop a lot at Amazon. For us, we have a Smartv, a Fire tablet and a small FireTV that Rick has in his Man Cave. We can watch both Prime stuff and HULU on these devices. We dropped NetFlix for HBO, which we get through the Prime Streaming. We both watch it a lot. Rick likes the British TV series and many of the movies. We more than get out money's worth.

But I do add that if you do not buy a lot to get the free shipping perk, it may be less of a bargain

 
I love it and am more than happy to pay the rental price to stream current films to my TV as well as the FREE ones for Prime members. I use ROKU to connect to Amazon, Netflix and others.

I agree with the underlined comment, I recently dropped prime as I also have netflix. I didn't find I enjoyed the free movie and other content all that enjoyable for after a while and though I shop a lot on amazon, it wasn't enough to the point that I was saving money when most of the items I purchased I could get free shipping anyway. Also, lately some items were listed as two day shipping ended up not being so at times, so I recently dropped the service. I may go back at a later time as it did have it perks holiday time, just they upped the price of my month to month fees making the service not all that attractive to me anymore for what I was getting.

I have a Roku. I also enjoy Acorn TV and I'm now trying Britbox as well. I like both of those, but their content is limited. It just seems to me that Netflix has gone to pot, or maybe I've seen all the good stuff. There's just so much absolute crap on Netflix now -- maybe that's all they're making nowdays, or I'm just being cranky.

Is there an App you can use to open locked episodes of HTV ??? I heard that a subscription to Hulu will open them (????).
