Ambulance coming to your house.

2 in 12 years. 1(self) 1(wife). You call them when you need quick action at hosp. They treat emergencies first, no waiting. We also have copay insurance for emergency trips.

I think the better question why someone would keep track of how many times they have called the ambulance for their diabetes and seek to benchmark it against other people on the internet, rather than, I dont know, asking about how often you are testing and monitoring your insulin numbers to avoid having to keep the ambulance to the sugar clinic on your fast dial. But perhaps that's just my view of the world.
I decided to edit and change my reply.

@Liza1948 it is just your view of the world, as your view is odd. IMO. But you are entitled to your view.

A better question, for you, might be how many times do you think you will need an ambulance after you confront a 90 year old woman? Answer: Depends on how many times you confront the woman and how hard she can hit with her cane. 😊

We are going to have fun, aren’t we?

Well, I’ve called them when I needed to GET to the hospital without dying first. I was actually in a cardiologist office, once, and while the cardiologist was feeding me nitro his nurse called them.

Never. And I am diabetic as well, though I deal with it via my diet (no insulin, no drugs to speak of).
You are lucky! Is it diabetes 1 or 2? I was prediabetic for a long time and then I began swimming and son of a gun, my A1C count dropped and stayed down. I gained weight because of the covid shut down, and when the pool reopened I started going 5 days a week to lose weight and I think my blood pressure has dropped. :D

I called 911 a couple of years ago because I bloated so badly I thought I was going to die. They said I would be okay but that was a terrible night! since then I have been to the hospital 3 times because of my gut shutting down and nothing passing. They hold me in the hospital for 3 days, no liquids or food, just an IV. By day three I am ready to kill. If they just let me have coffee and chocolate I might stay civil? You know what I mean? :ROFLMAO: By day 3 if nothing moves they move you off for surgery. The last time nothing moved until they came to take me to surgery and that scared the shit out of me. :ROFLMAO:

I do not eat popcorn, because that is what hospitalized me twice. Who would have thought popcorn can be life-threatening? :ROFLMAO:

@Liza1948 Ms Liza, is it possible that you can post a pic of your ambulance, your gazebo and your Mustang? I’m just curious as to what all these things look like. There’s an old saying, seeing is believing, maybe you’ve heard that one before? I’d just like a look at these things that are causing turmoil in your days. Better still if you could send a photo of the ambulance and Mustang parked side by side. That is, of course, unless one of your neighbors has taken them from your property.

Only one time did a ambulance show up at our house and it was a wrong address. They were looking for Stone Mountain and we live on Storm Mountain. We told them how to get to Stone Mountain and they took off again.
This happened when my husband cut two of the end of his fingers off. They passed our house on the way to the wrong address. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Once for my husband. It was a very hot day and he rushed up the stairs too quickly. He collapsed. They blamed dehydration, he thinks it was low blood pressure because of his meds. Whatever caused it, it was scary. I was cool & calm until the paramedics took over. Then I started shaking and couldn’t think clearly.

Just adding the cost of an ambulance is $75 and can be included in medical tax deductions. I don’t think they charge if someone is unable to pay.

Also, if there’s an emergency we call 911 and they ask us if we want Police, Fire or Ambulance. Once we’re connected to the correct department, they ask some questions and say who has been dispatched and they disconnect. I could hear the sirens within minutes and then they’re turned off as they pull into residential areas, if it’s safe to do so. I don’t know if the lights are. They are when they stop.

The paramedics asked me to go into the backyard and find his fingers. Yeah, right, like that was going to ever happen. However, a neighbor went and found them, but they were fingertips and could not be reattached.

The night my husband died, there was a fire engine, two police cars, the rescue squad vehicle and an ambulance in the street outside my house. I think it could have been seen from outer space.....

In 2020, I was out of town and the Spousal Equivalent thought he was having a heart attack at 2 a.m. The firetruck and ambulance came and carted him off to the hospital (turned out it was his gallbladder, thank goodness) and didn't wake up a single neighbor. They had his gallbladder out before I could even drive the 8 hours home.

How many times has a ambulance come to your house? I called them for me because of my diabetes twice in six years but my girlfriend she had them for eight times in six years.
One good thing the paramedics didn't have take me too the hospital. Paramedics said my doctor is having me take to much insulin causing it to drop. I live two miles from my city which makes it real close.
