I cannot fathom the pain and humiliation caused by racism. I am fortunate not to suffer under those terrible conditions. In my opinion I believe African Americans are superior by not practicing violence but through intelligence making positive long lasting change.
I don’t know much about African Americans or other cultures different from my own and even is distorted by religious church upbringing.
My parents failed because they invested all of their energy, faith and time in the church as the main parental source. My parents believed the church was the only source of life one needed to be everything god promised, sadly according to their belief it was that was needed and passed down to their kids.
I am different as we all are unto ourselves. I have flaws, but worst of all I am influenced by people who spread hate and discourse because they are miserable and misery loves company. People are the virus that lives within each and every one of us. Imagine life without the poison we feed upon to put someone down so we might make a better life for ourselves. Humans prey upon the weak and the minorities that challenge their place on top of the hill. We are threatened by what we don’t understand for fear of losing all we have to someone else.
Racism is the fear and power of losing to the unknown. I wish I could live as a minority, a woman, an African American, a Chinese, an Indian, a Native American, a Japanese, Asian, Hindu, Buddhist, and so on. Only when I have lived the lives of all cultures and nationalities I will understand.
