An experience I rarely have

The other night it was not hot or muggy and I opened up the 2 windows in my living room and slept on the couch as I often do. I just can't seem to sleep in my bed, it's uncomfortable. Anyway, the summer air was flowing in the 2 windows and was so pleasant and a bit cool. Hours of the wind blowing fresh, fresh air in and oh it was great! I enjoyed that fresh air as it hit my face and the rest of me. I haven't slept with the fresh air flowing in for years. It was really an experience to remember. It just was so very nice. It made my sleeping that night really good, too. :)

Small things are appreciated as we age. I now enjoy watching the different colors of the leaves as the sun passes behind them, striking hues of green...

They are.... an it seems that now that we are not cluttered with work stuff, running around with the kids we are able to
appreciate the smaller things in life. I love the chg of seasons an in North Florida we get them. I love smelling the
leaves that are blowing around ,the smell of winter coming on.I also love the lavender trees that bloom in the spring.
It let's you know that spring is on the way ,no more fires in the fireplace an put away the sweaters. Get out that bikini
(Im kidding) but get the pool ready an that old bathing suit it's time to BAR-B-Q.

May you have many more evenings of nice breezes like that for a great night's sleep, Ruthanne. I find having the windows open to let salt air in is wonderful for sleep, accompanied by the wondrous sound of peepers and a nearby owl.
