An old toaster

This was up in the cupboard over the kitchen stove. Probably an antique. There are as many designs of these old toasters as there are snowflake patterns. This looks to be from the 20's or 30's and it has a cord, although I'm afraid to plug it in.

They had a special cord that would fit. I doubt you can plug it in even if you wanted to. But nothing would happen. If it was faulty it would just blow a fuse.

I was hoping to put it out at one of my garage sales with the stipulation that it not be used (I guess I don't have to include the electric cord). Some people like to buy gadgets like this to decorate a country kitchen or theme restaurant.

I looked at toasters at WalMart and Target online - a cheapo one is around $30.

I bought one for $10.00 at the store, Walmart. Its cheap but I only use it 2-3 times a week. Works for me.

I'd say that it was somewhat of an antique, or at least a collector's item.

Take it to a pawn shop, ask how much they would give you, then multiply that amount by 500, and you'll have a good idea of it's value. ;)

Go to Target and buy yourself a nice brand new one. They're not that expensive.

NOOO!!! Old toasters like that are worth REAL money! Google the brand / model for it's value and find out where / how to sell it.
