Android users should check their phones for recently downloaded apps that may be draining their battery due to a recent adware campaign called 'GhostAd'. Although Google has removed many of these apps from the Play Store, some may still be on devices, causing persistent background activity that drains the battery and data, even after the phone is rebooted. The affected apps included a variety of utilities like emoji-editing and music downloaders, and a user's phone battery may be a symptom of infection.

Thanks. I checked mine and all is okay. While looking at a few sites in regard to this same topic, I found instructions on how to keep any apps from automatically installing. I do not want games or other apps to install unless I say so. Below are instructions to prevent them from installing automatically,

Stop Apps from Auto-Downloading via Google Play Store (on Android)
Disable Auto-Download / Auto-Install:
Open Google Play Store.
Tap your profile icon, then choose → Settings.
Go to General, then choose → Account and device preferences.
Turn off "Automatically install apps"(or"App install optimization"on some devices).
NEXT: Disable Auto-Updates (if you want complete control)
Open Google Play Store.
Select Profile icon, then go to → Settings, then click → Network preferences.
Tap Auto-update apps, then → Select Don’t auto-update apps.
