Another Family Murder-Suicide!

In Virginia. Murder suspect is the husband. Man and wife, both 35, and their three daughters (4, 6, 13). An ongoing argument that heated up on Saturday night. One story stated that a relative of the family said the wife didn't want law enforcement involved that is why they were not called the night of the argument. A "welfare-check" was done by deputies on Sunday afternoon. Deputies did not go inside the house. They knocked, but nobody answered. They concluded that things were fine. The family didn't show up for church that Sunday morning and the wife's mother had not heard from her daughter in 24 hrs, so she went over to check the situation out with another relative Sunday night. They climbed thru a window and found the bodies.

When will this "family murder-suicide" thing end? Why kill the kids? Why do the whole family in?

A year or so ago, I read about another family murder-suicide" that happened due to financial problems and religious beliefs. The mother and father had discussed how it would be done. The father shot his wife and then shot their boys while they were asleep in their beds, then turned the gun on himself.

While doing some research about this "family murder-suicide" thing that is going on nowadays, I was SHOCKED at how many times this has happened in recent years!

I understand the it's mostly the husband/father who is the one who kills the whole family before committing suicide. I wish they would just kill themselves, and leave the women and children out of it. I know some are done due to financial problems, which is ridiculous with all the options people have nowadays for shelter, food and medical for their families. But religious beliefs that say you should kill your whole family? I'm not understanding that one.
