Wall Street Journal reporter, Evan Gershwinkovich was arrested and held on possible Espionage charges. His employer, Almar Latour from Dow Jones has denied Evan’s involvement in the charges and has demanded his immediate release. Evan will be held in Russia until at least May 29 when he will face a District Court.
The FSB has accused Evan of attempting to obtain state secrets. Evan is the first journalist since the end of the Cold War of attempting to spy inside Russia. John Kirby, spokesman for the NSC has again repeated warnings to all Americans to avoid visiting Russia.
