According to him, she went hiking on her own, her
camper van, RV in your language, is parked in Spain
and the boyfriend is home in France, he did take some
time to notify the authorities that she had failed to call
home or to answer her phone.

LOL !! Believe it or not ? I am smart enough to figure out .....:unsure: what a camper-van is...... 🤣
 
I will never understand why anyone goes off alone hiking anywhere. I was taught in scouts that that was a no no except when I had to earn a badge and live off the land for a weekend. I had a compass, fire starter, tent, solar blanket, fishing gear, and an all purpose knife among other things. Of course the scout leaders knew where I was at all times, but I did fine. However, I'd never go off hiking in the woods alone.

I couldn't agree more, Lew.

My husband knows the backcountry here like the back of his hand, yet he never goes hunting on his own, and the short outings he does when going for a hike or to watch big game, he always makes sure he's dressed and packed to meet the needs of any/all weather conditions, regardless of what time of year it is.
 
Update

Human bones have been found in the area where she disappeared,
a skull with long hair attached to it, they say that they were dragged
to where they were found by wild animals, why would an animal drag
bones from a secluded place to a footpath that is busy with hikers,
animals are more likely to drag them in the opposite direction I think

Here is the latest update on this sad story.

Looks like you are right mellowyellow, without evidence he
is free.

I have my doubts about the boyfriend, I know that I wouldn't
have allowed my fiance to go hiking on her own in the Pyrenees
Mountains in November!

Also a wild animal dragging a bone from the Outback and into
civilisation, I doubt this very much, if the police are saying this is
fact, then they want to close the case.

Under the circumstances there will be no evidence to collect from
anywhere except the camper van.

This was on the Radio News, the bones are those
of Esther Dingley!

R.I.P. Esther, were you pushed or did you jump?

Esther's Body was found by her boyfriend, not far from
where the bone was discovered.

He has been searching the area since she went missing.
